What Else Can Go Wrong?

I feel bad for my car. My Honda is only 8 years old, and it went through so much. It's been through a car crash, bottom out, and now a broken window.

What is wrong with this world? Mainly what is wrong with my city, Pittsburg? I really hate this place, and my parents need to move out to a safer city. People from the bay know that Pittsburg is not the best place to live. We always had a high crime rate, and last night just proved another statistic. Probably some drunk idiot decided to bash in my window. My parents only had a temporary plan to live here, but got stuck. Now I have a new goal when I become a nurse. I will help my parents get out of this stink of a whole city!!!

Wedding Crashers...

Have you seen the movie Wedding Crashers? Well I just lived it last Friday. Here’s the story in a nutshell…

Good: Able to sneak in the wedding smoothly.
Bad: Blended in as the photographer, so people expected me to do my “job.”

Good: Got to enjoy a free meal on a Friday night.
Bad: Forgot it was a Friday, and ate meat that night. (Catholic practice during Lent)

Good: Talk to the wedding court, and got to know them better.
Bad: The moment I got caught crashing the wedding.

Good: Had an open bar. (Beer and wine all night!!!)
Bad: Drank a bit too much.

Good: Played break dancing beats.
Bad: Haven’t break dance in a long time, and face planted. I still impressed the crowd though =).

Good: Met a great girl at the reception that I danced with the entire night.
Bad: Realized that her brother was the one my friends were making fun of because he looked like Zelda.

Good: Best quote of the night by my friend Mike, “I’m too drunk to hook up with a girl tonight.”
Bad: Thought he was alone, but behind him was the groom’s mother.

We Are Going To Europe

It's official everyone, we are going to Europe. My friend who is orgainizing this whole thing booked our tickets a couple of days ago. This is a mile stone in my life. I never thought of going to Europe till I'm in the retirement age. I always thought my trips would be roadtrips around the United States. If I would go into another country, it would be either Canada or Mexico. I'm just counting the days till we live, which is May 23rd; a day after my birthday. What a great present to myself, right???

Blowing Air

One of the funniest things happened today in my speech class... We were doing a group activity so the entire classroom was loud. The one moment there was silence, someone decided to blow a little air. There was complete silence, and no one knew how to react to it until 2 seconds later. The whole class started to laugh. I wonder who did it.

Family Support

People who read my last blog know that I was going through a tough time in my personal life. I was down and out about this whole girl thing to the point where it was hard to concentrate in school. When I attended a family party last Saturday, it was hard to put on a happy face. Honestly, by the end of the night, I became happy inside. I love my family because just being there made me notice what I really want in life… MY FAMILY!!!

It was the first time where I had the chance to enjoy drinking-drinking with my family. When there are family parties, I usually get to drink wine with my cousins and beer with my dad. Well, my cousin had a tequila bottle that she wasn’t planning to drink any time soon, so I said I’ll finish it and let’s take shots!!! I went to the store to buy limes, and towards the end of the party, I found myself taking shots with MnM, and surprisingly with my cousin Di and my dad!!! My cousin Di is not a big drinker, and I was shocked she was willing to take a shot with me along with MnM. As for my dad, I drink beer all the time with him, but never shots. I will remember that party for the rest of my life =).

First Week of School

Well, as everyone knows, I went back to school to pursue my nursing degree. It was a VERY difficult week for me. First of all, I’m not used to the whole college studying thing. I need to train my brain once again to maintain information I hear in class. Also I’m not really enthused about all the exams/quizzes, projects, and papers I have to do again.

Second, I was dating this girl I met in Vegas. I thought everything was going well. I even helped her to move to Sacramento, which I was excited because I thought we can continue dating. I didn’t see any sign of our “relationship” coming to an end. Then all of a sudden, she cut me off; no contact all. I don’t even know why I feel so heart broken considering I didn’t even see a long term relationship; well at least for now. I’m trying to get a hold of her because she has one of jackets that has sentimental value to me. I don’t want to sound materialistic, but recently one of my grandfathers passed away and I used that jacket when I carried his casket.

Third, I’m trying to find a job that can work around my school schedule. I really don’t want to go back to retail or the restaurant, but that might be the best option because it works out great for college students.

Last week was real horrible. Hopefully the upcoming weeks will be better.

Holiday Thoughts

It’s been awhile since I posted my last blog, so here’s a new one. My holiday season was a major roller coaster.

Final Goodbye:
First of all, I had a death in my family, my Lolo Buddy. He was one of my favorite grandfathers, and he will be truly missed. All the clans gathered to see him for the last time. Even though it was this event that brought the family together, it was nice to see them all.

Another Goodbye:
I was able to get close to the 120/140 night class that I help teach. As my going away present, they gave me a medical kit and a class picture they took, in which they said their goodbyes and signed. That’s when I truly became sad inside to leave, but I still feel that I made the right decision to move back home to pursue my nursing degree. I need to think about the future, right?

Repair:
As many people know, my sister and I were not in good terms this entire year. I found out why she treated me so bad, and now we are in the repairing phase. It is so nice to see my sister treat me kindly. She has done something that she never done before, she invited me to a club!!! Even it didn’t fall through; it was nice just to get an invite.

New Life:
During Christmas, my Auntie Jaye announced that she is expecting a child. That is great news because it’s always nice to have a new baby in the family. Now my younger cousin, Jazmine, can be an older cousin.

Final thought:
Well, I hope that everyone enjoyed their Holidays. I also hope 2008 will be a great year to remember.
